Why We Love Marriott Hotels and Resorts
One of our go to hotels when we travel is the Marriott family of hotels. Of course, we always like a good deal and there are cheaper options out there. But, to us it worth the little bit extra to get a good nights sleep. Especially when on a road trip. Really, with the deals like the 20% off Courtyards or other promo codes the prices aren’t much different anyway….but the experience sure is!
Here are some of our experiences….would love to hear some of yours as well?
I became familiar with the Marriott family of hotels when I worked in corporate America. I traveled quite a bit and the Marriott was the place my company had me stay. I loved that no matter where I was that particular week, I knew I was always going to get a friendly face at check in, a clean room, and a nice bed! Love those Marriott mattresses….always knock me right out LOL.
My wife became a fan of Marriott in the summer of 2008. You see she always had to stay home with the kids when I was away on my business trips so she never got the 5 star treatment! When we moved from Minnesota to Texas there was about a 10 day gap from the time we got to Texas and when the truck carrying all of our stuff got there. Fortunately, grandma had our four kids but we had our two dogs. Where were we gonna stay with two dogs…yikes??? Marriott to the rescue…
We checked into the Marriott Residence Inn here in San Antonio. They welcomed our fur babies with no problem! The room was spacious and had a full kitchen with separate areas for sleeping, working, and relaxing. The kitchen was especially nice to have and really helped the budget. We didn’t have to eat out all the time!
So next time you are planning a vacation, going on a road trip or need a hotel for any reason…..check out the Marriott family of hotels. I’m guessing you won’t be disappointed!
Another reason we love Marriott is their rewards program! Definitely worth joining so you can start earning points you can redeem for free or discounted stays, to shop or many things like golf, spas etc.. Very cool! The points rack up pretty quick, especially if you have the Marriott Visa.
We get a few free hotels rooms a year through the program and really don’t travel all too often.
