Why it was chosen:

This product was chosen for the 5th day of Christmas because it is  extremely lightweight, but it also has the ability to keep you warm.  Most importantly , GoLite is a company we can all learn from. They do an exceptional job protecting the environment while making awesome products. The Details:
High-performance fleece that looks smart every where from the trail to the coffee shop. The GoLite Fleece is made of 100 % recycled materials and has two hand warmer pockets and a plush interior collar.

My Opinion:
When I lived in Minnesota, the temperatures would have to be sub-zero before I would wear a jacket. Mainly because I feel restrained in a big heavy coat. My co-workers would think I was nuts for not wearing a coat when it was -27 outside. I still wore my hat and gloves, just no coat or jacket.

Fast forward, and now I live in San Antonio where the temperatures are very, very mild in the winter months so a big over-coat is not necessary. My family and I actually laugh when we see people in there parkas, hats, and gloves when it is 50 degrees outside. So you guessed it, I don’t wear a coat here either.

So as you can see, I am not fond of wearing outer wear. Yes, I was cold in Minnesota without a coat. I just hated bulky coats, especially in the car. Now that I have found the GoLite Stone Rance Fleece Jacket, I have no problem wearing a jacket at all. I can’t believe how LIGHTWEIGHT this jacket is. For such a lightweight jacket, it is really warm!! I wish I had known about this jacket the five long winters I spent in Minnesota.

I got the black GoLite Stone Ranch Fleece Jacket. It is nice enough to wear with business casual clothing but tough and durable enough to wear on a hike or backpacking. This jacket will come in handy when I visit Colorado during the winter months. I also don’t mind wearing it in the car. It doesn’t restrict or restrain me at all. This is a very versatile jacket.

The GoLite Stone Ranch Fleece Jacket will make a wonderful gift for any nature lover, hiker, backpacker, or any other person like me that likes to stay warm but hates to wear jackets! Now, the Nuts can have the best of both worlds, warmth and lightweight!
