Well, my Redskins didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year but that’s not going to stop me from partaking in some awesome football foods. To enhance such food to the fullest extent I will certainly have a bottle of TABASCO® Original Red at hand.
Have you tried TABASCO® Original Red on pizza? The Super Bowl just isn’t the Super Bowl without a slice of your favorite pizza. The Tabasco Original Red is much, much more than hot. It really brings out the flavor of the toppings while adding a little extra spice! TABASCO® Original Red is not about heat for heat’s sake. It’s about what heat does to the flavor of food. The simple combination of salt, red pepper, and vinegar are perfected in a 3-year aging process that produces a hot sauce with the uncanny ability to bring the most out of your food. Other hot sauces add their own specific flavor to food. TABASCO® Original Red simply enhances the flavor of food.
Then there’s chicken wings… my wife makes the best chicken wings in the world. You should try these babies. Here’s her recipe for her awesome chicken wings. Don’t tell her I told you. When Sandy cooks she doesn’t measure anything, but you will get the idea.
First, she trims the chicken and cuts it into bite size pieces. Then, season it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste and puts it in a zipper bag. Next, cover the chicken with butter milk and refrigerate over night. The next day, get 3 large bowls. The first one is going to have flour and seasonings to taste, the second a couple of beaten eggs and milk. The 3rd is going to have panko bread crumbs. Take the chicken and give it several splashes of TABASCO® Original Red. Next, dip each piece into the egg mixture, then into flour and finally into panko. In a large cast iron skillet, heat 3 to 4 inches of peanut or canola oil to 325. Place chicken into oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and salt to taste. For the grand finale get a large bowl and coat the sides and bottom with TABASCO®. Add about 5 or 6 pieces of the fried chicken into the bowl and toss coating the chicken. Oh yeah, they are good!!!!
