Hello, Readers! It’s Sandy, A.K.A. Mrs. Coupon Dad, I persuaded Zack to let me handle the review of the Dyson DC23 vacuum. First, let me say, I am not your typical woman. You see, I love most housework (dishes not included). My top three chores are:
- laundry
- ironing
- vacuuming- my favorite
My friends were about to commit me to the insane asylum because I was ecstatic when Zack bought me my first Dyson back in 2004 for our anniversary! Can you imagine my joy when I got my hands on the DC23 Animal Canister?
The last time I used a canister vacuum was probably probably 30 years ago. Boy, how times have changed! The first major difference is the weight. It weighs less than 20 pounds. The second, is the maneuverability. This baby can get into some really tight spaces. Around the coffee table, under the bed, no problem. I was also amazed at how close to the edge of the baseboards the vacuum gets.
The most difficult part of vacuuming my home is the 15 stairs leading to our second floor. The DC23 just follows me up the stairs making it really no big deal any more.

The stairs in our house are now happy! They get vacuumed more than once every six months since the DC23 came into the picture. It is no longer a chore.
The DC23 would make a great gift for any other housework fanatic in your life! Plus, the color is great (purple is my favorite color) and you never ever have to buy bags!!!
