Jamberry Nails Coupons

Jamberry Nail Wraps are a great alternative to going to the salon to get your nails done. They are economical and they have hundreds of great designs you can’t get at a salon. Of course they have some great Jamberry Nails coupons too that help you save more. However, they can take some practice to apply. They can be a little tricky if you haven’t applied them before. So here are some tips to ease the frustration when applying your fabulous Jamberry Nail Wraps.

The Heat Source

For Jamberry Nail Wraps to adhere to your nails, you need a heat source. Some say you can use a heated rice bag, a heating pad, or a hair dryer. However, it has been found that using these methods can lead to more frustration and nails that look less than professional. The best heat source is the Jamberry Mini Heater.

This heater is a free standing, easy way to heat your nail wraps. The mini heater is also economical. It is only $19.

One Size Doesn’t Fit All

The Jamberry Nail Wraps come with enough to do two manicure, two pedicure, and enough left over for some accent nails. Moreover, the shorter your natural nails are, the more you can get out of a single sheet of wraps.  To make your manicure last two weeks or more, the proper fit is a must.

Once you unwrap your wraps, cut the sheet long ways down the middle. This makes it easier to handle once it comes time to actually apply your wraps.

Not all nails are the same. There are flat, curvy, textured, and more. Therefore, one size doesn’t fit all. There are times you will have to trim the wrap to fit your nail. The proper fit should have a small amount of nail showing all the way around. You may notice it, but it can’t be seen unless someone is really close up.

Nail Prep

Nail prep is important. Proper nail prep will make your Jamberry Nail Wraps stay on your nails longer. Without the proper nail prep, your wraps could slide right off.

First, take off any old nail polish or lacquer with nail polish remover. Then wash your hands with a lotion free soap. Washing your hands with blue Dawn works amazingly. It not only cleans well, but it also takes away any oils that might be on your nails.

You also want to use a cuticle pusher tool to push back all your cuticles. Remember Jamberry Nail Wraps do not stick to skin. Your cuticles are skin.

The final prep step is to wipe each nail down with alcohol. This will take off any remaining dirt or oils that might be on your nail and it works as a disinfectant too.

Also, if you are applying to acrylic nails, you will need a buffer to rough up the nail a bit.

Tools You Will Need

To properly and easily apply your Jamberry Nail Wraps, you will need a few tools. You will need an orange stick, a cuticle pusher, a nail file, alcohol swabs, a glass nail file,  a heat source (see above), and a nail scissor.

To Apply

Before you begin, choose the appropriate size for each nail. Wash your hands with a soap that does not contain a moisturizer (see above for more details).

Once your hands are washed and dried, push back all of your cuticles with the cuticle pusher on both hands. If you have hard cuticles, you might need a metal spoon cuticle pusher to get the job done.

Next, wipe each nail with an alcohol swab. As stated above, this helps sanitize your nail and get off any remaining dirt and oils.

Now with your orange stick roll your nail wrap onto the orange stick. Heat the nail wrap with your Mini Heater.

Now apply the wrap to your desired nail. Using your cuticle pusher, start at the bottom middle of your nail and down in a upper motion. Then work to the sides using the same motion.

Place the wrapped finger in front of the Mini Heater for 5 seconds. Push down on the wrap with your cuticle pusher.

With your rough grit nail file, file wrap in a downward motion at a 90 degree angle. Use your glass nail file to smooth rough edges.

Continue process for the remaining nails.

There you have it. Tips on applying your beautiful Jamberry Nail Wraps.
