Boy Scouts of America $500 Camping Package Giveaway!!
What do Neil Armstrong, Sam Walton, Michael Jordon, and Hank Aaron all have in common??? These outstanding men were all Boy Scouts! Over the past century there have been many Boy Scouts that have gone on to have great successes in their lives. Is this a coincidence? I don’t think so…
I was very excited when I was contacted on behalf of the Boy Scouts of America and asked to share my thoughts with all of you!!
As a father, I feel my most important job is to raise my kids to be a responsible and productive members of society and to give them the tools / values to help guide them in their decisions. The Boy Scouts is an organization that I feel has the same goal and promotes solid core values to its members.
In fact, one of the most memorable times of my childhood was when I was a Cub Scout. My dad was the troop leader and we really enjoyed the time that we got to spend together, and all the activities and values that I learned are s with me today.
One of the many values the Boy Scouts promotes is healthy living. With childhood obesity being such a growing problem here in the US, I think it’s great the Boy Scouts are helping to educate our youth on living a healthier lifestyle. I feel a big way to combat this ongoing issue is through educating our children. Teaching kids to eat right and to stay active will definitely put a damper on obesity.
As a parent, I know the importance a keeping your kids active and busy after school. I think Scouting is a great choice for an after school activity. Scouting offers so much more than just physical activity! They take activity further with arts and crafts, citizenship development, community service, teaching of core values and so much more. Sounds like a winning scenario to me.

Today, as parents I think we have even a tougher job than ever helping our sons grow into outstanding, productive members of society. Well, Scouts can help with that. Scouting is there to provide a balance of outdoor exploration, technology interaction, and social activities that are so essential for proper development.
So go ahead check out the Boy Scouts website and take a look around (information below). Even better yet, coordinate to stop by a meeting and check it out for yourself and take your son(s) with you!
For more information be sure to check out BeAScout.org (Be A Scout) and look over everything the Boy Scouts have to offer. While there you can find a local council in your area.
