Sports Authority

Well, fall is upon us. What does that mean to you? To me, it means cooler weather. We live in San Antonio and the triple digit temperatures make it difficult to enjoy being outside.

Fall also means FOOTBALL!!!! Yesterday was a very proud moment for me as a father. I took my only son to Sports Authority to buy his football cleats. He is now is 7th grade which means he can finally play for the Tejeda Timberwolfs….hold on… I’m getting choked up (sniffle, sniffle).

So now that my son is on the football team, we can get out in the back yard and toss the ball around. But let’s not forget all the other great games you can play with your friends and family as you gather around the fire pit or barbecue!

Our little 12 pound dog goes nuts every time we toss a ball because she loves playing fetch. There is also croquet, volley ball, horseshoes and many more.

Our kids love that we play games with them and we love to hear the laughs and see their smiles as I chunk a ball in a bush and have to go in head first to dig it out. It has also suddenly hit my wife and I very hard that our kids won’t be with us forever and we have to cherish the times we have. Sports Authority makes family fun time easy with all the lawn games they offer.  Plus, if the kids are outside running around it means they are not in the house sitting in front of the television or playing video games. A BIG plus in my book.
