Soda Stream – Review and Giveaway

Soda_StreamName of Product:

Soda Stream – Sparkling Water and Soda Maker

Short Description:

Soda Stream is a machine that turns fresh water into sparkling water and soda.

Review / Opinions:

My kids absolutely love making soda with the Soda Stream. I don’t like to be preemptive, but I could easily win the “Dad of the Year” award for bringing this home LOL… it’s all they have talked about for days (and drank for that matter). It’s so easy to use too! You can make unique, gourmet soda and seltzers in seconds and you can make them as fizzy as you want!

Another really cool aspect is it is eco-friendly. The Soda Stream  uses no electricity or batteries. There are no bottles or cans to throw away or recycle. Using the Soda Stream reduces the energy used in making and transporting  canned and bottled sodas on those big gas hog trucks you see on the roads everyday.  The highly concentrated soda mixes also minimizes packaging which reduces waste that fills up our landfills.

Since the soda machine doesn’t use any electricity it makes it very versatile.  It would be great for picnics, outdoor cook outs, and camping trips. It weighs only a couple pounds so it is very easy to handle and carry around.

The soda mixes come is 25 regular, diet, energy and caffeine free flavors. We tried a lot of the flavors in the diet line. The diet line uses Splenda instead of sugar to make it a healthier alternative. I love the diet orange soda mix, it is wonderful and since it uses Splenda you don’t get that funny aftertaste that most diet colas have. There is a debate in my house among the children on whether the root beer or the cream soda is the best.  My wife likes the diet cola. So as you can see basically all the flavors are great!

So besides being fun and tasting great the cost is also very good. The soda cost the equivalent of $.25 roughly per 12oz can or $.57 per liter. So the prices are very competitive to buying soda at the grocery store and much better than at a convenience store or vending machine.

So with competitive prices, being better for the environment and priceless family fun this is definitely a winner and sure to be a great gift for just about anyone.

I left a comment in the entry form and said Cream. Hope you got it! Thanks.

Hi Carol! You’re comment is there :) Which entry methos do you prefer…the comment method or form? The form seems easier and more private but I know you can’t see if your entry is in. Just curious so I can decide which way to go in the future :)

Thanks!

Zack

Hi Zack
I can chime in here if you are looking for an opinion. I prefer giveaways where the comments are visible, so I can size up the competition. I do go back and check on my entries on something I really want to win. The generic forms like yours seem a little hokey to me and not at all transparent. I sometimes wonder if the winners are truly random with that type of system. Anyhow I will say the ideal are the entry fields where you must fill in your name in a window, your email in a window which remains private, then the comment. The comments are visible and usually numbered and it is so much easier than having to type my email address into every entry comment. I really want to win one of these Fountain Jets for my husband for Christmas. He is getting laid off at the end of the year and it is really a luxury purchase under the circumstances. We haven’t bought soda in as long as I can remember. Wish me luck as I am entering into as many contests for Sodastream as I can find!

Thanks for the feedback! This is the first one I have tried like this, all previous giveaways I have run I did in the format you describe above. I’ll take your comments in to account.

Thanks again!

Actually I like this form as its quick and doesen’t fuss over entering spam words. Outside of blog promotions, its very unusual to get a running count of how many entries are in a promotion.
I’ve been seeing more blogs using the form and thought maybe its easier for the blog owner which is fine.

I would love the Cream Soda!

Sorry I answered here. I went and answered on the form too. Thanks.

I like the quick and easy form method the best. Thanks.

I like the form better as long as it only involves one entry per person. When you can do the form for the first entry and then comments for additional entries it changes my outlook. By the way, I really like having just one entry per person.
